Print Map Scale Bar
The Scale Bar Element Tool, located in the Print Map window, allows users to add a Scale Bar onto their map before printing.
Using the Scale Bar Element Tool
Before you can add a Scale Bar to your page layout, you must first have a map in your layout selected so the Scale Bar element will know how to set it's unit scale. Clicking on the Scale Bar button will open a Scale Bar window that allows you to set up the new scale.
Background - Sets an Area Style as the background of the Scale Line
Color - Sets the primary color for a Scale Bar
Alternating Color - Sets the secondary color for a Scale Bar
Numeric Format - Sets number formatting type of the Scale Bar numbers
Unit System - Sets what type of units will be displayed on the scale
Resize Mode - Sets the Scale Bar to be resizable, a fixed size, or maintain aspect ratio
Drag Mode - Sets the Scale Bar to either be draggable, or in a fixed position
