Measurement Export Wizard
The Export Wizard, located in the Measure tab, is used to save measurements from your map to a separate shapefile.

Using the Export Wizard
After you finished making your measurements you wish to export, click the Export button in the Measure tab and you will be presented with the Export Wizard.
Step 1 - Choose a layer to export from
From the drop down menu, select the measurement type that you are exporting. If you have both area and line measurements, you will need to export them separately.
Step 2 - Save the Results
Finally, save your results, either to a file path of our choosing, or a temporary file. Once the wizard is finished, the editor will create a new shapefile and then ask if you wish to add it to the current project.
