The SANAV GC-101 is a portable device that allows for configuration via SMS-text messages.

1. Do you have all the elements in place to successfully connect your device to the GPS Tracking Server?<br/>Check the Tracking Device Connection Guide before configuring your device: Tracking Device Connection Guide
2. Install SIM Card
   1. Remove back cover of the device and remove the battery. This should expose the IMEI number of the tracking device.
   2. Record the IMEI number as you will need it when you add your device to the GPS Tracking Server.
   3. Install the SIM card and replace the battery and back cover of the device.
3. Turn on Tracking Device
   1. Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. Both the red cellular connection LED and the blue GPS fix LED should begin blinking.
   2. Place outside where the device has a clear view of the sky. This will allow for the device to easily connect to the cellular data network and also start calculating its GPS location. It is very important that you place the device outdoors or it may not be able to get accurate GPS fixes.
4. Confirm Cellular Data Connection
   1. Connection to the cellular data network should occur quickly but could take anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds. Once the red cellular connection LED and the blue GPS fix LED both stay on constantly then you can start to configure the device.
5. Configure Tracking Device
   1. On your text enabled cellphone compose a text message to the phone number of the SIM card installed in your tracking device.
   2. Send the following commands each in their own text message. If the device successfully received the command it will respond back. <br/> The default username is username.<br/> The default password is 0000.
      1. #username,0000,9* <br/> This command resets the device to factory defaults.
      2. #username,0000,3,c1.korem2m.com,,* <br/> This command sets the APN to c1.korem2m.com. Replace this with your own APN value.
      3. #username,0000,4, http://ct24.cygnustrack.com/default.aspx *

This commands specifies the HTTP address that the device sends its location messages to.

1. #username,0000,14,2*

This command specifies that the device will only send out information using HTTP.

1. #username,0000,6,30,9999*

This command enabled Auto Track where the device will send out its location every 30 seconds. <br/>9999 means the device will send out messages any time it is turned on.

1. Login to GPS Tracking Server
