Map_Suite_Styling
This page will be shared across all of the Map Suite and talk about how to apply Styles to a FeatureLayer. We may be able to pull some content from the current Style Guide. But we want to keep this content pretty basic and high level since it's a 101 topic.
Talk about how to apply styles at different zoom levels and scales Describe the different types of simple styles available for the different geometry types and how you can use them.
- Area Style for Polygons
- Line Styles
- Point Styles
- Text Styles (Just do a very brief intro on this as we have a dedicated chapter for Labeling which will go into the Text Style in more detail)
- We can lead into the next chapter of Visualizing Data which uses more advances styles
We should mention that they can build their own custom styles if we don't have built in support for how they need to style something and point them to the Webinar/Video and sample that shows how to build this.
We will point to our online samples so they can see the styles in action and know where to download the code.
