The Style Library contains various style templates that can be added, edited, and used throughout your project. You can get to the Style Library by clicking on the Load From Library button located in the Style Builder's ribbon bar. The library comes with many styles by default and more can be added to the library by saving styles you have created.
The Style Library provides you with quick access to your styles that you use often rather than recreating them for each of your projects. At the top of the window, there are a few ways you can manage these styles within the style library.
:The Add button allows you to add an entire folder into your library. You would simply browse to the folder of your choosing and it will be loaded in your Style Library.
:The Refresh button updates your library's file directory with any changes that were made to your styles or folders.
:The Search Bar lets you quickly locate a style by name. This is especially helpful when you have a large library of styles and need to find styles that are relevant to your project.
Below these functions is the file directory tree on the left and the styles that are contained in your library on the right. By default, the file directory for your styles are located in “User\Documents\Map Suite Gis Editor\Style Library” so if you would like to add your styles to the default folders, then you can save your styles there. These folders are organized by four style types:
After you have made your selection for which Style you wish to use, clicking “OK” will add the style to your Style Builder window allowing your to further change the style suited to your needs.
