The Page Layout Tools, available in the Layout Builder, allow the user to create, load or save layout templates for printing maps. We offer several layouts prebuilt in the editor for you to use or modify to suit your needs. Custom templates are useful when you need to print out several different maps that share the same layout, including logos, north arrows, and scales.
New Layout From Scratch - This gives you a blank page to start with for you to add elements to your layout to get your map ready for printing.
New Layout From Template - Loads the prebuilt templates for you to choose from. They can be sorted by orientation and page size. Selecting a template layout will place the elements on your page layout and are ready to change by right clicking and editing the elements.
Save Layout To File - Saves your current layout to a template file on your computer that you can later load and use for future maps to print out.
Load Layout From file - Opens your a file browser for you to select a template that you have saved using the Save Layout To File tool.
