====== Measurement Export Wizard ======

The **Export Wizard**, located in the [[Measure Plugin|Measure]] tab, is used to save measurements from your map to a separate shapefile.

===== Using the Export Wizard =====
After you finished making your measurements you wish to export, click the **Export** button in the [[Measure Plugin|Measure]] tab and you will be presented with the **Export Wizard**. 

==== Step 1 - Choose a layer to export from ====
From the drop down menu, select the measurement type that you are exporting. If you have both area and line measurements, you will need to export them separately. 

==== Step 2 - Save the Results ====
Finally, save your results, either to a file path of our choosing, or a temporary file. Once the wizard is finished, the editor will create a new [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shapefile|shapefile]] and then ask if you wish to add it to the current project.
