Clicking on a feature will select it, represented by the **Measurement Area Style** or the **Measurement Line Style** depending on the type of feature you select to be measured. The other measurement tools, **Line, Polygon, Circle, Square, Rectangle, Ellipse**, allow you to draw on the map and the GIS Editor will automatically measure the area drawn. You can set the unit type for your measurements by changing the **Area Unit** and **Distance Unit** drop down menus. You can also change the appearance of your measurements by changing your Measurement Label Style, Area Style and Line Style. Each measurement will add a new layer to the Measurements Layer Group. You can turn this off by going to the measurements section of the Options window. Once you are done with your measurements, the Export Wizard can save your measurements in a different file. Using **Clear** will remove all measurements from your project, or you can use **Undo** to step back on each measurement, while **Redo** will step forward.
