====== Main Menu ====== {{ wiki:Main_Menu.png ?200|The GIS Editor main menu}} The **Main Menu** offers access to tasks that take effect on your whole project, the GIS Editor application itself, or your ThinkGeo account. It can be accessed by clicking the blue button [[|{{wiki:Main_Menu_Button.png}}]] on the left side of the [[Using the Ribbon Bar|Ribbon Bar]]. ===== Project Tasks ===== **New Project** - Starts a new project from scratch. If a project is already open, it will be closed first. (You will have an opportunity to save your changes to it before this occurs.) **Open Project** - Loads a project and its associated map(s), layer(s) and other data into the GIS Editor. If another project is already open, it will be closed first. (You will have an opportunity to save your changes to it before this occurs.) **Save Project** - Commits any changes to your current project by saving them to disk. **Save Project As** - Saves your current project under a new filename. Your existing project file will remain on disk in its last saved state. **Package Project** - Packages your current project and all of its dependent data in a single file. This is useful if you want to send your current project to another GIS Editor user, or take it to another computer. For more information, see [[Packaging Projects]]. ===== Printing and Exporting ===== **Print** - Opens the [[Print Map]] window, where you can set up a custom page layout for printing to a printer, plotter, document writer service (such as PDF or XPS), or any other printer available to you. **Export** - Exports an image of your current map, matching its layer styles and current scale. ===== Application Configuration ===== **Plugin Manager** - Opens the [[Plugin Manager]] window, where you can view, enable/disable or install new plugins for the GIS Editor. **Options** - Opens the [[Options]] window, where you can configure general options for the GIS Editor application and its installed plugins. **Check for Update** - Checks for a new version of the GIS Editor and offers you the ability to download and install it. **Help** - Launches the GIS Editor wiki in a web browser. ===== Account and Other ===== **Account Profile** - Displays the [[Account Profile]] window, where you can see the name of the account you're signed into and your next subscription renewal date. From here, you can also login with a different user account or manage your subscription. **About** - Displays the GIS Editor's About screen along with the application's version number.
