====== GIS Editor Lesson 12: Printing ====== ===== Printing ===== Now that we have finished the final details of our map, it is time to print. Select the print option under the dropdown menu. You should now see a screen that is similar to: {{wiki:Print Preview.png?480}} ===== Adding Another Map ===== From this screen, you have multiple options for printing. First, we will set the extent of our map. To do this right click in the print preview window and select “Set Extent”. This allows you to set the part of your map you are wanting to print. Another addition you can add is another map. If you select the map feature in the elements group you can add a second map on top of the original. The process is the same as setting the extent for your main map. This can be useful when you have a different zoom level you want to display or an area outside of the main printout. There are also other options such as text, shapes, and adornments. {{wiki:Adding Map.png?480}} If you plan to print multiple maps and do not want to redraw all your adornments, you can save the form and load it when you print again. To do this select the “Save Layout to File” button and navigate to a spot you wish to your layout to. {{wiki:Saving Layout.png?480}} You are now ready to print your map!
