====== Export Wizard ======

The **Export Wizard**, located in the [[Select Features Plugin|Select Features]] tab, is used to save selected features or measurements from your map to a separate file.

===== Using the Export Wizard =====
After you have the selected features you wish to export, click the **Export** button in the [[Select Features Plugin|Select Features]] tab and you will be presented with the **Export Wizard**. 

==== Step 1 - Choose a layer to export from ====
From the drop down menu, select the layer that you wish to export the selected items from. You can only export selected items from a single layer at a time, even if you have features selected across multiple layers.

==== Step 2 - Save the Results ====
Finally, save your results, either to a file path of our choosing, or a temporary file. Once the wizard is finished, the editor will create a new [[Shapefiles|shapefile]] and then ask if you wish to add it to the current project.
