====== Bookmarks ======
**Bookmarks** let you store the map's current location and zoom level, and then quickly jump between different bookmarks with the click of your mouse. If you routinely need to examine several specific geographic areas, bookmarks are a great way to do so quickly. Bookmarks are map-specific, meaning that each map has its own set of bookmarks. Bookmarks are stored in your GIS Editor project file, so they will be retained if you package the project or move it to another computer.

To reposition your map to the location of a saved bookmark -- known as "jumping" to a bookmark -- click the "Jump to Bookmark" button on the Home tab of the ribbon bar. A list of available bookmarks will appear. Select the bookmark you want to jump to, and the map will change position (and possibly zoom level) to display that location.
Alternatively, from the **Bookmarks window's** bookmark list, simply double-click the bookmark you want to jump to.
===== Managing Bookmarks =====
To rename or delete a bookmark, you need to use the **Bookmarks window**. This window can be opened by clicking the "Manage bookmarks" button on the Home tab of the ribbon bar. The Bookmarks window shows you a list of all the bookmarks in your project, and gives you a way to add, rename and delete bookmarks. Using this window, you can also jump to any bookmark in the list by double-clicking its name.
==== Renaming a Bookmark ====
To rename a bookmark, click on its name in the Bookmark list until it is highlighted in blue, and then click the "Rename" button. The name will become editable so that you can type a new name for the bookmark. Press the Enter key or click anywhere on the screen with your mouse when you are finished.
==== Deleting a Bookmark ====
To rename a bookmark, click on its name in the Bookmark list until it is highlighted in blue, and then click the "Delete" button. The bookmark will be immediately deleted.
